Sewing Workshops

Our sewing workshops provides a safe, secure and protective environment for new, inexperienced and even veterans to exchange skills.

W2 wanted to provide an inviting, welcoming atmosphere for people to improve their sewing skills, hence our sewing workshops. They offer expert guidance and tips for those interested in fashion and needlework. Our sewing workshops promote social interaction, helping people to learn, discuss and practice their hobbies together.

The workshops also provide a safe, secure and protective environment for new, inexperienced and even veterans to exchange skills.

Sewing workshops offer a unique opportunity to learn more about the past, as well as getting creative and trying out new ideas.

They can help people improve their skillset and build confidence, aiding them in making more of a career out of their passion. Our groups are a great place for those with a passion for stitching and sewing to come together and create something new.

Whether it is a dress for a big occasion or an everyday item, our workshops help people hone their skills and learn more about the craft.

Having done the sewing workshop with Sylvia and Mrs Robinson I can honestly say what an enjoyable and informative experience this is. The knowledge and experience Mrs Robinson has is a real asset to the project. We really did have a laugh whilst learning of luck in all you do Westaf, you deserve to succeed!!! I will be back sewing again with you soon.

I really enjoyed the sewing classes at WestAF.   The tutor, Mrs Robinson was an excellent tutor with a wealth of knowledge.  She was able to engage with participants from a wide range of ages (10 – 70+ years)  The classes took place in a spacious, dedicated sewing room with all the necessary equipment.  My personal projects have benefitted from the skills that have I learnt.
