About Us
“W2” in “W2 Academy“ stands for “Wholeness and Wellbeing”. As our name suggests, at the heart of W2 Academy is your wholeness and wellbeing; body mind and soul. Our aim is to help to build a stronger local community by connecting, educating, and empowering people.
CONNECT
Connecting as a community is essential for the growth and development of any society. Connecting as a community allows individuals to learn from each other, share resources, and build relationships. It is vital in creating strong networks of support that enable their community to overcome obstacles and thrive. Community connections also help in feeling connected to something larger than oneself, providing a sense of belonging and comfort.
EDUCATE
Education, either formal or informal is important for innovation, personal and societal development, cultural preservation, as well as social and economic empowerment. Through education, individuals can acquire necessary skills and knowledge to navigate through the world while making informed decisions. Education can help in tackling socio-economic issues like: poverty, improve health, promote equality, and contribute to sustainable economic growth. It can empower people to fully participate in their communities, preserve cultural heritage and promote cultural diversity.
EMPOWER
Empowering different groups of people to rise above life challenges is an important part of creating a more equitable and just society. This can be achieved by providing individuals with the resources and support needed to overcome obstacles, to help people reach their full potential and lead more fulfilling lives. Empowerment, which can be structural or psychological is vital in community development.
